Okeanis Eco Tankers Corp. (OET) is pleased to announce the appointment of Konstantinos Oikonomopoulos as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of OET. Mr. Oikonomopoulos will assume the role of CFO in December 2021 succeeding Thalia Kalafati, who has been interim CFO since September 2021.
Mr. Oikonomopoulos has extensive experience in the capital markets, finance, asset backed investments, capital raisings and research. Prior to joining OET, Mr. Oikonomopoulos was the Investment Manager of Borealis Maritime Ltd in London for three years. Before that, he held the position of Lead Analyst for Drewry Financial Research Services in London and formed part of the finance team within Ceres Shipping (Livanos Group) in Greece. Mr. Oikonomopoulos has a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece and an MSc degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School, UK.
